📚 MAINTAINING DIGNITY THROUGH HALAL WORK 📚
Imam Al-Bukhari, may Allah have mercy on him, narrated:
Mu'alla bin Asad told us, Wuhaib told us, from Hisham, from his father, from Az-Zubair bin Al-Awwam, may Allah be pleased with him, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said:
"Indeed, for one of you to take a rope, go to the mountains, cut a bundle of firewood, carry it on his back, and sell it, thereby preserving his dignity, is better for him than begging from people, whether they give him or refuse him." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Hadith No. 2373).
Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
This indicates that work and profession are not a deficiency; because the prophets, peace be upon them, practiced them. There is no doubt that this is better than begging from people, even the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, for one of you to take a bundle of firewood on his back and sell it," meaning to take what he earns from it, "is better for him than begging from people, whether they give him or refuse him."
There is no doubt that this is noble character; that a person should not submit to anyone or demean himself, but rather he should eat from his own earnings, from his trade, craft, or farming. Allah the Exalted said: "And others traveling through the land, seeking of Allah’s bounty" (Al-Muzzammil: 20) and not begging from people. And Allah is the One who grants success.

📚 MANTER A DIGNIDADE ATRAVÉS DO TRABALHO HALAL 📚
Imam Al-Bukhari, que Allah tenha misericórdia dele, narrou:
Mu'alla bin Asad nos contou, Wuhaib nos contou, de Hisham, de seu pai, de Az-Zubair bin Al-Awwam, que Allah esteja satisfeito com ele, do Profeta, paz e bênçãos estejam sobre ele, que disse:
"De fato, para um de vocês pegar uma corda, ir às montanhas, cortar um feixe de lenha, carregá-lo nas costas e vendê-lo, preservando assim sua dignidade, é melhor para ele do que mendigar das pessoas, quer elas deem ou recusem." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Hadith Nº 2373).
Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen, que Allah tenha misericórdia dele, disse:
Isso indica que trabalho e profissão não são uma deficiência; porque os profetas, paz esteja sobre eles, os praticavam. Não há dúvida de que isso é melhor do que mendigar das pessoas, mesmo o Mensageiro de Allah, paz e bênçãos estejam sobre ele, disse: "De fato, para um de vocês pegar um feixe de lenha nas costas e vendê-lo," ou seja, pegar o que ganha com isso, "é melhor para ele do que mendigar das pessoas, quer elas deem ou recusem."
Não há dúvida de que isso é caráter nobre; que uma pessoa não deve se submeter a ninguém ou se rebaixar, mas sim comer do que ganha, do seu comércio, ofício ou agricultura. Allah, o Exaltado, disse: "E outros viajando pela terra, buscando a generosidade de Allah" (Al-Muzzammil: 20) e não mendigando nada das pessoas. E Allah é Quem concede o sucesso.
