This is My Creed

This is My Creed

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

1) We believe that Allah the Greatest (Al-Akbar) exists absolutely without any originator, He exists without a beginning and without end, and He alone is the creator of space, time, and everything. He alone is the creator, controller, and ruler of the universe.

2) We believe that Allah the All-Seeing and All-Hearing (Al-Bashir wa Assamii’) is high above the heavens, established on His throne, and His knowledge encompasses everything.

3) We believe that the only religion accepted by Allah the Exalted is Islam.

4) We believe that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah (laailaahaillallooh), and He alone deserves to be worshiped. There is no equal to Allah in worship.

5) We believe that the best role model is Muhammad, peace be upon him, and he is the last Prophet and Messenger of Allah; there is no prophet after him.

6) We believe that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, was taken by night (Isra’) and ascended (Mi’raj) by Allah the Exalted from the Sacred Mosque to the Farthest Mosque and then to the heavens.

7) We believe that the five daily prayers are obligatory for every accountable Muslim, and whoever intentionally abandons prayer is a disbeliever and has left Islam.

8) We believe that paying zakat is obligatory (according to its conditions), and whoever denies its obligation is a disbeliever and has left Islam.

9) We believe that fasting during Ramadan is obligatory (according to its conditions), and whoever denies its obligation is a disbeliever and has left Islam.

10) We believe that performing Hajj is obligatory for those who can afford it, and whoever denies its obligation is a disbeliever and has left Islam.

11) We believe that only Allah the Exalted has the most beautiful and most exalted names and attributes as established in the Quran and authentic Hadith.

12) We believe that the names and attributes of Allah the Exalted are befitting His majesty and are not comparable to any created being or what we imagine.

13) We believe that Allah the Exalted created the angels from light, and they never disobey Him.

14) We believe that Allah the Exalted revealed scriptures containing His words, written in the Mushaf, memorized in the hearts, and spoken with the tongue. The Quran is the final book that abrogates all previous scriptures.

15) We believe that the Quran is the speech of Allah and not created.

16) We believe in all the unseen news conveyed in the Quran and authentic Hadith with reliable chains.

17) We believe that Allah the Exalted sent messengers to every nation to call them to worship Allah alone and avoid polytheism, and the last messenger is Muhammad, peace be upon him, who was sent to all mankind and jinn.

18) We believe that whoever asks the dead or graves has committed major shirk that takes them out of Islam.

19) We believe in the trial of the grave, where questions will be asked, and those who answer correctly will enjoy blessings, while those who do not will be punished.

20) We believe that one day the entire universe will be destroyed; this is the Day of Judgment. Then Allah the Exalted will resurrect His creation for the reckoning.

21) We believe that Allah the Exalted wrote the destinies of all creation in the Preserved Tablet 50,000 years before the creation of the heavens and the earth.

22) We believe in the decree of Allah, the good and the bad, and all of it has wisdom in His sight; nothing is in vain for Him.

23) We believe that the best people are those in the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. They are the Prophet, peace be upon him, and his companions, may Allah be pleased with them. Then those who follow them correctly, generation after generation, until the Day of Judgment.

24) We believe that the best companions of the Prophet, peace be upon him, are Abu Bakr, then Umar, then Uthman, and Ali, may Allah be pleased with them all. They are the rightly guided caliphs in the order of their caliphate.

25) We believe that whoever reviles any of the companions of the Prophet is a deviant innovator.

26) We believe that whoever mocks any part of Islamic law is a deviant disbeliever who has left Islam.

27) We believe that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, conveyed the complete law, and this religion is perfect.

28) We believe that whoever introduces a new matter into this religion is a deviant innovator.

29) We believe that whoever protects the deviant innovators will be cursed by Allah the Exalted.

30) We believe that learning through the system of tuition fees, classes, and traditional schools is not from the way of the righteous predecessors and resembles the ways of disbelievers.

31) We believe that democracy, parties, organizations, and foundations are innovations that divide Muslims.

32) We believe that the Shi’ah Rafidhah are disbelievers and have left Islam.

33) We believe that it is not permissible to rebel against a ruler who establishes prayer, and demonstrations are a forbidden form of rebellion.

34) We believe that jihad in the path of Allah will continue to be legislated until the Day of Judgment, and whoever dies without the intention of dying as a martyr in their heart dies the death of a hypocrite.

35) We believe that suicide bombing is not jihad but a major sin and oppression.

36) We believe that whoever builds their allegiance and enmity based on falsehood is a misguided partisan.

37) We believe that this ummah will split into 73 sects, all in Hell except one: Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah, Salafiyyah.

38) We believe that the people of Hadith are the Ahlus Sunnah.

39) We believe that it is not permissible to blindly follow anyone except the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him.

40) We believe that wiping over the footwear during ablution is correctly legislated.

41) We believe that it is not permissible to undertake a journey for worship except to three mosques: the Sacred Mosque, the Prophet's Mosque, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. These three are the most virtuous mosques on earth.

42) We believe that the fatwas of scholars are not infallible; we accept what is correct and refer what is incorrect back to the Quran and authentic Hadith according to the understanding of the righteous predecessors.

43) We believe that in the end times, the deceiver Dajjal, the blind in one eye, will appear.

44) We believe that whoever goes to a soothsayer or magician and believes in them is a disbeliever who has left Islam.

45) We believe that in the end times, the Mahdi will appear, uphold the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and fight against the Dajjal.

46) We believe that Prophet Isa (Jesus), peace be upon him, has not died but was taken up to the heavens and will descend in the end times to kill the Dajjal.

47) We believe that one day Islam will prevail over the entire earth in the end times.

48) We believe in the signs of the Day of Judgment, such as the emergence of Gog and Magog, eclipses, the appearance of a beast from the earth, the sun rising from the west, and others mentioned in authentic Hadith.

49) We believe that Allah, the Sovereign, who is the only King of Kings, will grasp the seven heavens and the seven earths in His hand on the Day of Judgment.

50) We believe that Allah the Exalted will gather all mankind in the Plain of Resurrection.

51) We believe that the people of innovation will be driven away from the Prophet’s pond, peace be upon him, in the Plain of Resurrection.

52) We believe in the intercession for the people of monotheism.

53) We believe in the Sirat, a bridge over Hell that jinn and humans will cross.

54) We believe that Paradise, full of blessings, already exists now, and so does Hell, full of torment (we ask Allah for Paradise and seek refuge in Him from the punishment of Hell).

55) We believe that Allah the Exalted, in His mercy, will admit a group of people into Paradise without reckoning and without punishment in the Hereafter.

56) We believe that the leader of all mankind in the Hereafter is the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad, peace be upon him, and he will be the first to open and enter Paradise, and his ummah will be the first to enter Paradise.

57) We believe that seeking Islamic knowledge makes the path to Paradise easier.

58) We believe that the poor of the ummah of the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad, peace be upon him, will be the majority in Paradise. We ask Allah for Paradise.

59) We believe that the inhabitants of Paradise are fewer than the inhabitants of Hell, and most of the inhabitants of Hell are women. We seek refuge in Allah from the punishment of Hell.

60) We believe that hypocrites will be in the lowest part of Hell.

61) We believe that Allah the Most Forgiving will forgive all sins except shirk (polytheism) for whom He wills, and whoever dies upon shirk will remain in Hell forever.

62) We believe that those who have faith in their hearts will eventually be taken out of Hell.

63) We believe that Allah the Exalted will be seen very clearly in the Hereafter without any barrier.

64) We believe that the greatest blessing in Paradise is seeing the face of Allah the Exalted and receiving His pleasure.

65) We believe that the inhabitants of Paradise will abide in Paradise forever, and likewise, the disbelieving inhabitants of Hell will abide in Hell forever.

May Allah the Exalted cause us to die upon the correct creed, and all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. Completed on Sunday, 11th Shawwal 1434, in Makassar.
