**Warning to Muslims Against Resembling Deviant Sufis and Assigning Special Acts to the Night and Day of Nisfu Sha'ban Without Religious Basis**

🔴((Warning Muslims Against Imitating Deviant Sufis and Designating Special Practices for the Night and Day of the 15th of Sha'ban Unlegislated in the Religion))

⏬ All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, companions, and those who follow them.

We often hear in these days people exaggerating the importance of the 15th of Sha'ban, assigning to it significance even greater than Laylatul Qadr, despite the absence of any authentic evidence from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) about this. The Companions themselves did not know of or practice any specific acts of worship on this night or day.

🔵 Recently, many from among Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah have been influenced by this innovation due to a hadith authenticated by Shaykh Al-Albani (may Allah have mercy on him) through various chains. However, the correct view is that this hadith is not authentic. The chains of transmission contain narrators who are weak or unreliable, making them unfit to establish evidence.

🔴 Therefore, fear Allah.
👉🏻 Safeguard your religion.
👉🏻 Be sincere in your worship of your Lord.
👉🏻 Follow the Sunnah of your Prophet (peace be upon him).
👉🏻 Avoid innovations and the imitation of deviant Sufis.

🕯The hadith being referred to is:
From Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him), who narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
*"Indeed, Allah looks upon His creation on the night of the 15th of Sha'ban and forgives all of them, except for a polytheist or one who harbors enmity."* (Reported by Ibn Majah, 1390).

In the hadith, "those who harbor enmity" refers to individuals who bear grudges or animosity toward their fellow Muslims.

👉🏻 In the book *Az-Zawaid*, this hadith is declared weak due to the weakness of Abdullah bin Lahi'ah and the tadlis (concealment) of Al-Walid bin Muslim.

Furthermore, the hadith has inconsistencies, as clarified by Ad-Daraqutni in *Al-Ilal* (6/50-51), where he said, "This hadith is not established."

Variants of this hadith have been narrated by Mu'adh bin Jabal, Aisha, Abu Hurairah, Abu Tha'labah Al-Khushani, and others. However, all their chains of transmission have weaknesses, with some being extremely weak.

🖊 Ibn Rajab Al-Hanbali (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
*"There are numerous hadiths regarding the virtues of the 15th of Sha'ban, but they are disputed. Most scholars have deemed them weak, although Ibn Hibban authenticated some."*
(*Lata'if Al-Ma'arif*, p. 261)

🔎 Allah’s descent to the lowest heaven is not unique to the night of the 15th of Sha'ban. It is authentically reported in *Sahih Bukhari* and *Sahih Muslim* from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) and others that Allah descends every night during the last third of the night. Ibn Al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned that over 28 Companions narrated this.

🖊 When Abdullah bin Mubarak (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked about Allah's descent on the 15th of Sha'ban, he responded:
*"O weak one! The 15th of Sha'ban?! Allah descends every night."*
This is reported by Abu Uthman As-Sabuni in *I'tiqad Ahlus Sunnah* (no. 92).

🖊 Al-'Uqayli (may Allah have mercy on him) stated:
*"The narrations about Allah’s descent on the 15th of Sha'ban are weak, while the narrations about His nightly descent are authentic and firmly established. Thus, the 15th of Sha'ban falls under this generality, Allah willing."*
(*Ad-Du'afa*, 3/29)

🖊 Shaykh Muqbil (may Allah have mercy on him) stated:
*"There is nothing authentic regarding the 15th of Sha'ban."*

Ibn Waddah narrated from Zaid bin Aslam:
*"I did not witness any of our scholars or jurists paying attention to the 15th of Sha'ban, nor did they accept the hadiths narrated by Mak’hul about it. They did not consider it to hold any virtue over other nights."*

It was said to Ibn Abi Mulaikah:
*"Ziyad claims that the reward of the 15th of Sha'ban is equal to that of Laylatul Qadr."*
Ibn Abi Mulaikah replied:
*"If I heard him say that while holding a stick in my hand, I would strike him with it."*

All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
