ABDULLAH IBN MAS'UD (may Allah be pleased with him, d. 32 AH)/ ABDULLAHS IBN MAS’ŪDS (lai Allāhs viņu svētī, miris 32. gadā pēc hidžras)

**ABDULLAH IBN MAS'UD (may Allah be pleased with him, d. 32 AH)**

Abdullah ibn Mas'ud ibn Ghafil ibn Habib ibn Shamakh ibn Makhzum ibn Sahilah ibn Kahl ibn al-Harith ibn Tamim ibn Sa'd ibn Hudhail ibn Mudrikah ibn Ilyas, also known as Abu Abdurrahman al-Hudhali. His mother was Umm Abd bint Abd ibn Siwa' from Hudhail, who was also a companion. He embraced Islam in Mecca early on, migrated twice, and participated in the Battle of Badr and all other battles. He was also the keeper of the Prophet's

According to Al-Bukhari, he died in Medina before Uthman. Abu Nu'aim and others state he passed away in 32 AH, while Yahya ibn Bukair mentioned the year 33 AH. Some claim he died in Kufa, but the first opinion is stronger. Ibn Hajar says that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم once told him, "You are a learned young man," which was said during the early period of Islam. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم also made him a brother to Sa'ad ibn Mu'adh. Ibn Hibban states that az-Zubair led his funeral prayer. Abu Nu'aim notes that he was the sixth person to accept Islam, and it is authentic that Ibn Mas'ud said, "I took seventy chapters of the Qur'an from the mouth of the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم."

He narrated from his teachers: the Prophet Sa'ad ibn Mu'adh, Umar, and Safwan ibn Assal.

He was followed by his students: his sons Abdurrahman and Abu Ubaidah, his nephew Abdullah ibn Utbah ibn Mas'ud, Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, Anas, Jabir, Ibn Umar, Abu Musa al-Ash'ari, al-Hajjaj ibn Malik al-Aslami, Abu Umamah, Tariq ibn Shihab, Abu Tufail, Ibn Zubair, Ibn Abbas, Abu Thur al-Fihmi, Abu Juhaifah, Abu Rafi' (the Prophet's صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم servant), Abdullah ibn al-Harith al-Zubaidi, Amr ibn al-Harith al-Mustalaqi, Qarra ibn Iyas, Kalthum ibn Mustaliq, Abu Shuraih al-Khuza'i, and his wife Zainab bint Abdullah al-Thaqafiyyah. All of them were companions of the Prophet. Others who narrated from him include Alqamah, al-Aswad ibn Yazid, Masruq, al-Rabi' ibn Khuthaim, Zaid ibn Wahb, Abu Wa'il Shaqiq ibn Salamah, Sharrah ibn al-Harith al-Qadhi, al-Harith ibn Suwaid al-Taimi, Rabi' ibn Hirash, Zirr ibn Hubaysh, Abu Amr al-Shaibani, Abdullah ibn Shidad, Abdullah ibn Ukaym, Abdurrahman ibn Abi Layla, Ubaidah ibn Amr al-Sulami, Abu Uthman al-Nahdi, Abu al-Ahwash 'Awf ibn Malik, Abu Maisarah Amr ibn Shurahbil, Amr ibn Maimun al-Audi, Qais ibn Abi Hazim, Abu Athiyah Malik ibn Abi Amir, Murrah al-Tayyib, al-Mustawrid ibn al-Ahnaf, Hudhail ibn Sharhabil, al-Nazzal ibn Sabrah, Abu al-Aswad al-Du'ali, al-Ma'rur ibn Suwaid, and others.

Pēc Al-Bukhārī teiktā, viņš nomira Medīnā pirms Uthmāna. Abu Nu’aim un citi apgalvo, ka viņš nomira 32. gadā pēc hidžras, kamēr Yahyā ibn Bukairs norādījis 33. gadu. Daži uzskata, ka viņš nomira Kufā, taču pirmais viedoklis ir spēcīgāks. Ibn Hadžars saka, ka Pravietis صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم viņam reiz teica: "Tu esi jauns cilvēks, kurš ir mācīts," kas tika teikts agrīnā islāma periodā. Pravietis صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم arī izveidoja viņu par brāli Sa'dam ibn Mu'ādam. Ibn Hibbāns norāda, ka az-Zubairs vadīja viņa bēru lūgšanu. Abu Nu’aim atzīmē, ka viņš bija sestais cilvēks, kurš pieņēma islāmu, un ir autentiski, ka Ibn Mas’ūds sacīja: "Es paņēmu septiņdesmit Korāna sūras no Allāha sūtņa صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم mutes."

Viņš mācījās no saviem skolotājiem: Pravieša

Viņa sekotāji bija viņa dēli Abdurrahmans un Abu Ubaidahs, viņa brāļadēls Abdullahs ibn Utbah ibn Mas’ūds, Abu Sa'īds al-Hudrī, Anass, Džābirs, Ibn Umārs, Abu Mūsā al-Aš'arī, al-Hajjāds ibn Maliks al-Aslamī, Abu Umāma, Tāriqs ibn Šihābs, Abu Tufails, Ibn Zubairs, Ibn Abbass, Abu Thūrs al-Fihmī, Abu Džuhajfa, Abu Rāfi' (pravieša صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم kalps), Abdullahs ibn al-Hāriths al-Zubaīdī, Amrs ibn al-Hāriths al-Mustalaqī, Karrā ibn Ijass, Kaltsūms ibn Mustaliqs, Abu Šuraīhs al-Huzā'ī un viņa sieva Zainaba bint Abdullahs at-Tsaqafiyyah. Visi viņi bija Pravieša līdzgaitnieki. No viņa mācījās arī Alkama, al-Asvads ibn Jazīds, Masrūks, al-Rabī' ibn Hutsaims, Zaids ibn Vahbs, Abu Vā’īls Šaqīqs ibn Salamahs, Šarahs ibn al-Hāriths al-Kāzī, al-Hāriths ibn Suvaīds at-Taimī, Rabī' ibn Hirāšs, Zirrs ibn Hubaišs, Abu Amrs aš-Šaibānī, Abdullahs ibn Šadāds, Abdullahs ibn Ukajms, Abdurrahmans ibn Abi Lailā, Ubaidah ibn Amrs as-Sulāmī, Abu Uthmans an-Nahdī, Abu al-Ahvashs 'Aufs ibn Māliks, Abu Maisarahs Amrs ibn Šurahbīls, Amrs ibn Maimūns al-Audī, Kais ibn Abi Hazims, Abu Atijja Māliks ibn Abi Āmirs, Murra at-Tajibs, al-Mustavvīds ibn al-Ahnafs, Hudhaīls ibn Šarhabīls, an-Nazzāls ibn Sabrā, Abu al-Asvads ad-Du'ālī, al-Ma'rūrs ibn Suvaīds un citi.
